Responsibilities of a professional communicator in a public hospital

Introduction

A professional communicator in a health organization is responsible in performing communications between professionals in medicine and their stakeholders.  Their major responsibility is to communicate effectively to the publics, and help in creating good relationships between the health care organization and agencies in the government. Communication professionals are in other words public relation officers whose other core function is to build a better understanding of healthcare matters and that can also use their communication skills to encourage people adopt a better and healthy lifestyle.

The target audience from a public hospital

A public hospital will always be designed to contain various departments that handle divorce cases in the health care system. Dozier  et al., (2013) said that,  It can be difficult to write a report that can satisfy every stakeholder in the healthcare system. Therefore, a communication from the public hospital can be either primary or secondary depending on what the communication is all about. We have secondary and primary audience. Primary audience include, specific employees e.g. nurses and patients affected by a specific health condition.

Secondary health care audience influence the decisions of the primary audiences, for example if a mother is sick then their grown up kids can help them make decisions. Other secondary audiences are those people who are not directly affected by the information from a health organization but can be interested in one way or the other.
