2. Key Elements
a. List the key elements of EYLF.
The key elements of EYLF include the principles, practices and learning outcomes. They help in reflecting on the work and to accurately plan childcare programs that serves as a guidance on the way one should work with children, community and the families of children.
b. Explain the key elements.
The key element of principles is associated with our values and beliefs. The next element is that of practices. They relate the manner in which principles are implemented by working with children, community and the families of children. Educators in the Early Year Learning Framework needs to enforce practices that promotes the learning of children by means of pedagogical practices. The third element is that of learning outcome. This helps in supporting childcare experts to emphasize on the children’s talents as well as provide guidance to individual child learning programs. This element promotes achievements and objectives that helps to recognize the progression of a child by the experience of the educator (Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace, 2009).
