Part 1
Introduction
Prisoners have their rights too, but every state in the world has the law with clear provisions on what they should be allowed to do and what they should not. Women prisoners sometimes can have children, born in prison or small kids needing breast feeding. First of all, kids are innocent human beings who should not suffer at all for their mother’s mistakes. Laws have been formulated to successfully allow prison mothers interact with their kids, selectively without denying their kids the rights to see their mothers.
Some people have argued that it is important to allow mothers keep in touch with their children and it is key as it reduces recidivism, mechanisms must be in place to make sure when they get out of prison they can be productive, Baldry (2010). Some research has shown that when you send a woman to prison, the family remains divided. Small babies are vulnerable to diseases and conditions in prisons are not good enough to sustain the lives of a small baby, now this section, the study is going to focus on the various mechanisms put in place to address the issues.
