Introduction
The objective of the report is to identify the issues getting raised due to diversity at a workplace and also want to bring light on the benefits of the good practices being followed for managing diversity at the workplace. Organizational diversity can be explained in a different way where all the employees are working under one umbrella which can be differentiated on the basis of sex, caste, nationality, financial status and culture. It needs to be considered an integral part of the company in order to stay in the today’s tough market. In today’s corporate world it has become important due to changing requirements of the customer. It is all about learning from others, sharing the good values, have self-respect which helps in building a healthy environment in the company.
Workplace Diversity can affect the organization performance if its issues are not addressed properly with right policies and right management. Though it accelerates the performance of the organization it can also lead to confusion and conflict if not resolved properly. It is not an easy task to handle such group of people who are having different attitude, different point of view and belongs to different culture. Even after knowing the importance of diversity leader faces challenges while managing it. Hence, therefore, leaders need to understand it differently so that it can be tackled smartly otherwise well-intended program can backfire and create issues in the organization.
