Problem Statement:
The group task was provided to a group of six members of the class group who were enrolled in the specific course. The group was comprised of the individuals from diverse culture, age group, and working styles. All the group members were working more than one job in order to take care of their financial liabilities. Also, all the individuals in the group were taking more than one subjects at one time. Thus, it was observed that all the group members were juggling between multiple job, multiple courses, their personal responsibilities, and other limitations such as language, culture, etc.
Thus, the problem arose when three of the group members did not turn out after the first group meeting and did not contribute towards the project and thus, it had to be completed within the three team members who participated in the entire team project. The major problems which were observed during the group meeting included the lack of intercultural awareness, team communications, and time management. Apart from this, the interpersonal skills were not used effectively and the lack of team communications resulted in ineffective team development; and the roles within the team for the various sections of the group project were distributed ineffectively as the communication between the team members did not take place effectively.
